Random 12/04/2009

Went to "Once upon a milkshake" and fell in love with it! I was drinking Cerious Maple milkshake - maple syrup with crunchy maple cereals! Super duper nice!

A new yummy place added to my favorite list! It is The Handburger located at Raffles City!

Look at their mouth watering burgers! A work of art I tell ya!

Christmas light up at Orchard road this year! Love those pretty ribbons!

Some pictures from my little garden:

I grew this plant for less than 2 months and it's blooming so lovely now!

A flower from my ginger plant.

I often get visits from caterpillars, I usually don't like them chewing on my plants but this one is really cute, so I let it stayed on and considering keeping it as my pet!

My coming holidays!

I'm going to travel again!!! Our destinations are:

Taiwan

When: December to January.

We went there last year but I've not had enough of Taiwan. Moreover this time we are going to explore other parts of Taiwan, besides Taipei!

Vietnam

When: Lunar New Year period!

I miss my mom's cooking!!! She is the best chef! I'm also eager to hug the newest member of my family, my adorable niece! She is only 6 months old but she has the sweetest voice ever!

We have already booked tickets for our Taiwan and Vietnam trip.

After coming back for these two trips, we are going to Japan in March or April! After Japan, I would like to visit Thailand!! After Thailand I would like to go to Genting casino again!!! I'm so happy!!!!

I love cold weather! It makes my cheeks rosy and my lips red, like natural makeup. But if without my lip balm, my lips would really hurt!

Wishing upon a satellite

I'm staying awake until now, already pass 5 a.m. For the whole night, I could only spot one shooting star, but I'm not sure if it was it or maybe I mistook it for a satellite by my tired and watery eyes.

Around 10 pm, the rain had stopped and we slowly made our way to the Japanese Garden. To my surprise, it was super crowded! After enjoying Kenji William's performance and walked a few rounds inside the garden, we decided to go home and waited for the meteor shower at our balcony.

The moment I "thought" I've spotted a shooting star, I tell Lg:

Me: I saw it! I saw the shooting star. Over there! *pointed my finger*
Lg: Really? Did you wish?
Me: No, it happened so fast! Like less than a second!
Lg: That is too short! How could someone wish upon a shooting star like that?
Me: I think so too! Now I know why people say if you can wish upon a shooting star, your wish will come true! That's impossible!

We continued waiting to catch another shooting star, but after 45 minutes later, I broke the silence.

Me: It's already past 5 a.m but I didn't see any shooting star at all! I'm so disappointed!
Lg: I sprained my neck already! All I see are satellites!
Me: Me too! We might as well wish upon a satellite, that's easier! We can wish as many as the number of satellites we saw! But I will count them tomorrow! *Yawn*

Arrival of the Leonids!

Tonight is the night I will be watching the Leonids make an appearance! Hopefully I can stay awake until 5 a.m! This is the first time I've ever attempted to catch shooting stars and making my wishes! Lots and lots of wishes!!!
I'm very excited!
I hope the weather will behave, no rain please! Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This year will be one of the stronger shower of Leonids meteors and it happens to be on a new moon, making it easier to get spotted. As prediction by Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office, there will be "20 to 30 meteors per hour over the Americas, and as many as 200 to 300 per hour over Asia!". I'm so thrilled to know that! By the way, not every year you can experience such a big meteor shower, if you miss this year, you have to wait to see it again in 2031! Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Later I'm going to stare into the dark sky for hours. I'm going to train my eye muscles now!Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Alright, I will blog about this again if I have some pictures of this event, which I'm not sure if I will be able to snap any pictures of those shooting stars!

It's almost impossible for my camera, but well...I shall try!

Listen rain, you better stop pouring by 8 p.m!!! Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Back from my long hiatus!

Here I am, updating my "unattended" diary blog after almost a month.

I was really fed up with blogger's problem previously! But not anymore, just now I could upload pictures really fast, I guess I will be updating more often from now on!!!

Here are pictures from my Singapore Discovery Centre and Army Open House outings!

Lg took a lot of silly pictures of me, but I only chose these decent ones to post here. Hahaha!

Inside Discovery Centre, playing games and exploring as usual!

Went to the Army Open House the next day!

I joined a lot of long queues for my activities there. See the ear plugs? Everyone was given a pair of ear plugs wrapped in plastic bag when you go for the live firing. I was given an extra stuff, a pirate eye patch, as I couldn't close my left eye! I only know how to close my right eye!

My favourite game was the Flying Fox, it was so cool! I was a little afraid at first, as I had to hold on to the grip using my own strength and slide down from a great height! But it wasn't scary at all after experiencing it!

This year, I managed to get a ride in a tank! I didn't like it though, hahaha. The tank was very fast, I had to stand all the way, holding on to a rope and getting all the dust and sand onto my face and my clothes! When the ride finished, I could almost breath out dust!

Before I sign off, Happy Lantern Festival to everyone!

P/s: Sorry for not replying on everyone's comments previously, I had problems with posting comments on other blogs and my own blog too! But suddenly all the problems are solved now! Hope it lasts!

Comming soon...

+ I went to the Singapore Discovery Centre today with Lg. Actually I was reluctant to go there at first and I didn't expect I was having so much fun! Heee!!! XD

+ Tomorrow I'm going to the Army Open House but there's one problem, I twisted my ankle after jumping down from a huge tank today! =(

I planned for this outing since Monday and tomorrow will be the second last day of this event! I'm not going to miss it. I can still walk slowly, but not running. "___"

I went there two years ago and loved the experience. I'm so excited to shoot real guns and play war games again!!! \(^=^)/

+ I'm having problem uploading photos now, I will post about my outings soon next time. =(

Happy Anniversary 2009!

We went to a new restaurant called Sakura at Punggol to celebrate our 6th years' anniversary being together.

This is the largest Charcoal Grilled and Shabu Shabu restaurant in Singapore according to their advertisement! The restaurant was really large and their staffs were very friendly, but I guess they're new, hence their service was very slow.

I thought we could get a seat with a gorgeous sunset view, but they actually don't have any table near to the sea, a little disappointed!

I end this post here with a super cute song. "Trouble Is A Friend" by Lenka!

P/s: I will update again when I'm able to upload my photos like today! The Crtl+F5 works sometimes. Thanks to AB MaMa!

Handicap!

My blogger account is handicapped! Yesterday I managed to post some photos and saved them as draft! I thought the problem was solved, I was so happy!!!...But it's actually NOT! I wanted to post more photos today but the problem of missing tools are back again!

Some photos I posted yesterday!

After going to the zoo, Sentosa and some outings, I eventually became more tanned, which I like very much!

I cut my hair very short lately! Why did I do that??? Now my hair is only shoulder length!

I love having Shabu Shabu at Tora Shabu! It's my favorite restaurant now! It's located at Iluma Bugis!

When you meet different people, you learn different perspectives, but still...you know who you are! Life goes on...
