Lunar New Year 2013 at Chinatown

We went to Chinatown last weekend, it's one of our traditions to visit Chinatown during the Lunar New Year period.

Spotted the huge snake lantern! Well, absolutely...not cute...!!! Haha! But, welcome snake year!

Walked around Chinatown and snapped some photos, I like street photography lately!

When the night came, the whole town was beautifully illuminated by the lanterns! The moon was round, made its appearance in my shots!

I really like this night shot with potrait that Lg took with my Olympus Pen E-P3, simply using Auto mode with flash on! It's that easy!

We squeezed through the crowded market place and took a rest at the stage performance area! I like the heart throbbing performances!

Taiwan trip 2013 the last few days

Day 12

We had lunch at En Japanese restaurant with sisters. It's so healthy and yummy!!! It's now our favorite restaurant!!!

After that we strolled around Sogo for some grocery shopping!

We went to Wu Fen Pu after parting ways with our sisters, another round of shopping, for my clothes and accessories!!!

I was really happy to find some pretty clothes at cheap prices!

Had a luxurious teppanyaki dinner at the Brothers Hotel with Da Jie's family!!! We are so blessed to enjoy lots of delicious food whenever we're back to Taiwan! We feel so loved and pampered!

Went back to Da Jie's house and I was astonished to see my nephew's pet!!! It's a ferret!!! Surprisingly it's quite gentle, yet very mischievous! I liked it, except for the musky smell!

We had a dim sum lunch at the Brother Hotel with our Da Jie's family again! Always our favorite place!

Da Jie brought us to a lovely cafe called My Cafe, had the Tiramisu coffee for the first time and liked it very much!!! I'm a coffee addict!!!

Went to Shih Lin night market!!! This time we discoverd lots of new stalls, so we tried more varieties of food! I really liked the Ma La Ya Xue shop there, I will come back!

We love the new Shih Lin, it's more convenient to walk around compared to the old one.

On the next day, we had lunch at Wa Cheng restaurant with Da Jie's family! I love the Thai food there!

Went back to the My Cafe and had a Caramel Macchiato! I love love Macchiato, with caramel, always! I enjoy it best when it's served hot!!!

We walked to the Xin Dian bridge with Zhuang at night! Pretty twinkling rainbow bridge!

Had dinner at Alice Steak House! Marvelous dinner!

That's all about our yearly Taiwan trip this time!

Although we did not manage to fly a Sky lantern and visit Hua Lian as planned, due to the rainy weather! But we had good times with our family, those are precious moments!

Taiwan trip 2013 day 10 and 11

Day 10

We had lunch at Mita Pasta restaurant with San Jie and our twin nephews. I was delighted to see such a cozy restaurant with a cute snowman!

All of us had pasta set meals, yums!

No matter how full I was, I always could finish my dessert and a cup of coffee!

We all went to the Taipei Zhongshan Metro Shopping Mall to find games and toys for the boys, yes, Lg was included! San Jie also bought something for herself, it's the Xbox 360 Kinect!

Around 5 pm, we had dinner at San Jie Fu's parents' house. I love all the dishes that granny cooked! Super delicious!

We went back to the mall after the dinner, there I saw the miniature Olympus Pen E-P3 and OM-D series. San Jie then bought some for me!!! I was so touched!

Bought braised duck tongues and duck wings for night snack! San Jie also bought a super yummy cake at Xiao San Yuen shop!

Our twin nephews wanted to count down to the New Year with us, so we all stayed awake and snacked on our night snacks while waiting for the moment.

It's 2013! Wishing everyone a better year!

Day 11

On the next day, it rained heavily the whole day, so we just rested at home. Lg set up the Xbox 360 Kinect while I was busy decorating San Jie's souvenir cabinet! After that, we all had a good time playing games and exercising together. It's a fun day!

Late afternoon, we had dinner at our favorite restaurant nearby and bought supper as usual! It's always great to have some time to relax and be with family members! I love family days!!!

Taiwan trip 2013 day 8 and 9

Day 8

We took the high speed rail to Hsinchu with San Jie and our twin nephews. It's always fun to have outings with them! As we watched them grow up, we're glad that they have become more caring and sensible, even though they remained little boys inside our hearts no matter how old they are.

I love the 7-11 stores in Taiwan, not only because they have a wide range of food, they also have steamboat! It's so good!

Had lunch at Fu Da Jiang restaurant with Er Jie and San Jie with our nephews and niece. The restaurant serves amazing pork chop and tempura. They even served free flow salad! I super love the fresh and crunchy salad with excellent sauces!

We all went to the new shopping mall in Hsinchu, it's called Big City! Time for some shopping!

We went bowling there! It's the first bowling experience for our twin nephews. They like the game very much!

All the players of our team! We had a great time, playing and relaxing with drinks and snacks! It's a great day!

After the fun game, our twin nephews continued playing more games at the arcade.

Had a luxurious buffet at the Ambassador Hotel for dinner. It's really grand!

I felt grateful spending time with everyone!

We all went to Er Jie's house after the dinner. Everyone was just relaxing and chatting.

We spent the night at Er Jie's cozy home! I like to check out Er Jie Fu's collections all the time!

At night, we heard sound of fireworks, I rushed to the balcony and managed to capture some pictures. It's hard to take a nice picture of fireworks without a tripod! Uhm, but I tried my best!

Day 9

It was cold and raining heavily on the second day we were in Hsinchu. We couldn't go to many outings as planned. Er Jie and Er Jie Fu drove everyone to a tomato and strawberry farm, we spent some time there eating fresh fruits and purchasing some dried goods.

After that, we all had a delicious lunch at our favorite Hakka restaurant.

We went to play bowling again since it rained! Our nephews were so enthusiastic about it!

Late afternoon, we took the high speed rail back to Taipei with San Jie's family. Everyone was exhausted but happy!
