I always believe in Santa Claus

It saddened me after watching a music video called "Ruffneck" by Skrillex. Don't get me wrong, I love Skrillex and "Ruffneck" is another great song I like!

But I teared after watching Santa Claus struggle with his life and the last image of him running into the snow! I thought of global warming and melting icebergs... That's just a part of it, but the main reason is because I always believe in Santa Claus. I think of him as a kind and happy grandpa. I believe in Santa Claus like how I believe dreams come true and all the positives in life. I'm not religious but Santa Claus is my childhood idol that I would hold dearly in my heart.

Music is my life

If I was to be stranded on a safe, but deserted island and I could take only one thing with me, it would be music! I love music! I listen to all music genres and languages, from oldies to modern music.

Music also prevent me from motion sickness. I have this annoying symptom since childhood and there's no other way as effective as music (besides medicine) that could help me get rid of it. As long as I close my eyes and listen to my favorite music, I will be fine.

Today, we went to Pasir Panjang food centre to try the healthy Char Kway Teow that was introduced in some food show.

While waiting for our Char Kway Teow, Lg also bought Hokkian Mee, my favorite dish. The heart shaped prawns were displayed by me!!! Hahahah!!!

I'm usually not a fan of oily Char Kway Teow, but I like this healthy version with a mountain of veggies!

A new layout for my blog

For quite a while, I wanted to make a new layout for my blog, soon after I came back to blogosphere. This afternoon, I spent hours to figure out the complicated HTML once again and finally I'm happy with the new look of my blog. I even made a new header myself! I'm very proud of my patience!!! Hahaha!!!

Isn't my new layout sweet?

Yesterday I've discoverd a wild mulberry tree near to our house!!! I was so happy picking out all the red fruits and popping them into my mouth, despite the horror look on Lg's face!!! Hahaha, I've never found any mulberries sold in Singapore and I missed this fruit so much!!!

I'm eager to go back to that tree everyday, but I could only pick a handful of mulberries each time!

My usual look in my jogging attire, actually I'm more of a brisk walking person. I walk really fast!!!

P/s: My friends told me they still like my old blog's layout, I don't think it looks bad too, but I like my new layout better! Anyway, I've been using the old layout for so long, it's time for a change!

My adventure to Arrietty world

I spent my lovely weekend on a blissful walk to Japanese Garden.

I was a little grumpy because of the "endless summer" heat in Singapore. It's only March, yet the temperature was up to 34 degrees.

Then as soon as I walked into Japanese Garden, I felt like I'm wandering in Arrietty world.

My happy mood began when I spotted a Lotus pond, there's one Vietnamese folk song suddenly rushed into my head:

"Trong đầm gì đẹp bằng sen
Lá xanh bông trắng lại chen nhị vàng
Nhị vàng, bông trắng lá xanh
Gần bùn mà chẳng hôi tanh mùi bùn"

The translation is:

"In the pond there is none prettier than the lotus
Green leaves, white petals and yellow stamens
Yellow stamens, white petals and green leaves
It rises out of the mud but does not smell of mud"

Water, my most affectionate element, I like to capture water movements when I see any.

I especially like this picture that captured the shadow of trees on water. I could work on a nice painting from that.

Following stone pavements and floral trails in my determination to discover someone from the secret world of Arrietty.

I found their world, I believed! There, their enchanted forest, their comlicated railway tracks and their villages...

Continue following their railway tracks that led me to the red bridge. I was closer to Arriety world, really!

I also found their spring water system!!! It's very cute!!!

Love the parasol, it matched the bridge perfectly!

Oh, their "shrines" are everywhere! Oki-gata actually!!! I'd like to think they are Buddhist!

I had a tendency to eat any berry-like fruits that I found when I was younger. Luckily I didn't come across any poisonous berries before. Sometimes I still tell Lg, I know this berry, it's edible!!! Lg often scream:"No, stop it!" and pull me away as far as possible from the tree!

Some random shots Lg captured and I like! Hahaha!

I shall end this post with my jump shots!!! I can create any style of jumping easily! I often fly in my dreams!

My chicken baguette

Lg requested to have chicken baguette for dinner, so we went to nearby supermarket to get the ingredients. I needed honey roasted chicken, Japanese crunchy cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, coriander and a baguette.

After shredding the chicken meat and sliced cucumbers with tomatoes, I happily put all the prepared ingredients inside the baguette. When Lg saw the complete version of my baguette, he was shocked and commented: "Your baguette is huge, how to bite?!!" Hahaha!!! It's all inside our tummy now and it's yummy, so there's a will, there's a way to bite it!!!

Another dish I cooked today to accompany our baguette is Venus clam soup, cooked with celery and ginger, we both love this simple and healthy soup.

Anywhere with you

I asked Lg: "If you could choose a place to live, where would you choose? I mean any other country?"

Lg answered straight away: "Anywhere's fine, as long as I'm with you! How about you?"

I laughed at his silly face and said: "You fool! I still choose Singapore, even without you!!! Hahahahah!!!"

I love Singapore, even though living in a foreign country was not easy! But I've grown to love this country more and more each day!

DIY Princess manicure

Did my manicure today with the princess theme!!!

It didn't take much time to complete this set of manicure!

I used Essie Van D' Go for my thumb and OPI Do You Lilac It for my ring finger, top with OPI White Shatter. For my index finger, middle finger and my pinky I used OPI Tickle my France-y.

I completed the look with randomly applied Jill Stuart nail polish and some jewel deco from Daiso!

As long as I'm happy

I'm addicted to Instagram, for now. I snap photos of everything and everywhere!

Had dinner at Sushi Express at City Hall today and they served free blueberry cheesecake to each customer!!!

It's very delicious and I even snatched Lg potion!!!

Glutton monster me ate so many sushi, like 20 plates all by myself, drank 5 cups of green tea!!! Their sushi are mouthwatering and inexpensive! My favorite dining place!

Love the melody of this song. Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine.
