Arrival of the Leonids!

Tonight is the night I will be watching the Leonids make an appearance! Hopefully I can stay awake until 5 a.m! This is the first time I've ever attempted to catch shooting stars and making my wishes! Lots and lots of wishes!!!
I'm very excited!
I hope the weather will behave, no rain please! Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This year will be one of the stronger shower of Leonids meteors and it happens to be on a new moon, making it easier to get spotted. As prediction by Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office, there will be "20 to 30 meteors per hour over the Americas, and as many as 200 to 300 per hour over Asia!". I'm so thrilled to know that! By the way, not every year you can experience such a big meteor shower, if you miss this year, you have to wait to see it again in 2031! Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Later I'm going to stare into the dark sky for hours. I'm going to train my eye muscles now!Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Alright, I will blog about this again if I have some pictures of this event, which I'm not sure if I will be able to snap any pictures of those shooting stars!

It's almost impossible for my camera, but well...I shall try!
