Chinatown: Mid Autumn Festival 2008

I like to visit Chinatown at least 2 times every year, on Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year.

As usual, the road was decorated with lanterns...

I never fail to queue up at this Yong Tau Hoo stall lol. It always has a long queue...

This bowl of Yong Tau Hoo is what I was waiting for. Traditional, simplicity and delicious...

When the night falls, all the lanterns light up. So beautiful!

I think I'd like Yong Tau Hoo if there were no pork in it. The Mango dessert looks delicious.

Yong Tau Hoo is a very healthy local dish. There is a variety of things you can choose to put inside your soup, usually no pork, but only fish balls or fish paste with lots of bean curd skin, fried or steam white bean curd...The soup base is made from soya bean with clear and sweet taste. Have you tried Yong Tau Hoo before?

I love the Mango dessert. It's as soft as ice-cream but not too sweet.

I've never tried Yong tau Hoo. Perhaps I'll get the chance if I can remember the name.

Mango is a favorite of mine. We always had plenty of that fruit on Maui. :p
