Udon Donut

Literally, this is donut made of udon!
I like to enjoy the donut with jam, chocolate sauce or sprinkle some green tea powder on it while Lg prefer to eat on its own!

It's very simple and takes less than 15 minutes to cook!

Ingredients: udon, flour and powdered sugar. I used green tea milk powder instead of sugar here.

For 1 pack of udon, use 1 tablespoon of sugar and 4 tablespoons of flour.

Preparation:

Prepare a pair of gloves, a ziploc bag or any plastic bag.

Place ingredients inside the bag. Seal the bag and make sure there is a lot of air inside it, gently shake the bag few times to mix the ingredients without breaking the udon strips!

After done shaking, take seven pieces of udon strips out, place them equal in length then twirl them to make a loose knot.

Cooking:

Heat oil and deep fry the udon "donuts" for 2 minutes on medium to high heat. If you want the texture to be softer yet slightly crispy, fry it about 1 minute. The longer you fry, the harder it becomes.

One pack of udon can make 3 big donuts and 1 mini donut. To make the mini donut, use 3 pieces of udon cut in half, twirl it and twist it. Enjoy!
